E-Sports
E-Sports:
MIT students participate in an Electronic sports league starting in Fall 2022. Students participate in E-Sport leagues in which they compete with other schools and leagues around the nation. Students are provided with high-end gaming desktops in which they are shown how the computers were put together and programmed to prepare for the class. By participating in this program, students are developing soft skills such as teamwork, good sportsmanship, strategic thinking and leadership skills. In addition, students are also being exposed to the career pathways of content creating, entrepreneurship, organizers, and strategist. Such careers that students are being exposed and introduced to are analytic careers, software development, journalism, business, marketing, web development, IT support, and event organizers.
